visit our organic garden

The garden is full of have fruit trees like avocado, mango, orange, passion fruit, banana, coffee and others. In our organic garden we grow vegetables like tomato, salad and beans we serve for lunch and dinner. Our staff can show and explain about trees, flowers and vegetables we grow in the garden.

walking in Marera Valley

You can walk around in the Tanzania nature crossing crops, meeting the farmers and other local villagers. Our guide can walk with you in the morning or in the afternoon.

safari in the national parks

We can organize your safari in 4×4 jeep with professional guide in the national parks like Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Tarangire National Park and Sereneti National Park.

visit Karatu village and local market

Karatu village is on the road between Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, it’s the last village before Ngorongoro entrance gate. The busy village of Karatu is a mix of old and new with safari jeeps, buses, dala-dala and colored  tuk-tuks running up and down the main road, the heart of Karatu is the colorful local market. You can walk around the village and the local market discovering local lifestyle, traditions and culture. 

visit Iraqw or Maasai boma

If you interested in local culture and traditions you can visit an Iraqw boma (traditional village), Iraqw tribe inhabits Karatu and Lake Eyasi areas. Maasai boma are inside Ngorongoro Conservation area, close to Lake Manyara and Tarangire National parks. You can easily organize the visit from Marera View Lodge.
